The Job Description of QA Test Lead
A QA Lead who is proficient in Selenium automation testing would likely be responsible for leading a team of quality assurance engineers in the design, development, and execution of automated tests using Selenium.
A Selenium QA Test Lead is responsible for leading a team of quality assurance engineers in the design, development, and execution of automated tests using Selenium. The individual in this role will have a deep understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices, and will be experienced in using Selenium for automated testing.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the design, development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and scripts -Develop and implement test plans and test cases for new and existing software applications -Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members on Selenium automation testing -Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects -Analyze and report on test results, identifying trends and areas for improvement -Maintaining and expanding automation coverage by creating new tests, maintaining existing tests and refactoring as needed -Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automation testing and integrate new tools and technologies as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Selenium automation testing and have experience in leading a team of automation engineers
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
- Strong experience in one or more scripting languages
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
They would be expected to have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices, as well as experience with Selenium and other automation tools. Other responsibilities may include creating and maintaining test plans, analyzing and reporting on test results, and working closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects. Additionally, they may also be responsible for mentoring and coaching other team members on automation testing.
