Job Summary
Provides comprehensive administrative, investigative, and translation assistance to the RSO and the FSNI Unit. Assists outside US Government (USG) Law Enforcement Officials (LEOs) and representatives of other federal agencies with investigations relating to Lebanon. Develops and maintains effective liaison with Embassy personnel, USG officials, Government of Lebanon (GOL) officials, and private sector professionals in Lebanon. Translates reports and other investigative documents between Arabic and English,
depending on the customer’s needs. Acts as an interpreter and translator for the FSNI Unit and RSO American staff.
Main duties and responsibilities:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience in managing large volumes of data in an administrative or investigative position. Three years experience translating documents between English and Arabic.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with administrative procedures, investigation processes, and official memorandum drafting. Ability to produce
accurate, clear administrative documents and translations of documents.
Education Requirements: Two years university studies is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level IV spoken and written Arabic is required. Level IV spoken and written English required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to manage large volumes of work concurrently, summarize investigative data into spreadsheets, and protect confidential information and sensitive case details. Ability to translate technical law enforcement terms between Arabic and English. Ability
to deal effectively with Embassy personnel, USG Officials, GOL officials, and private industry contacts. Skills to quickly
translate or draft technical documents for RSO in both English and Arabic.
